Junior Systems Administrator Job Position

What You'll Do:

-Execute the new hire onboarding process to ensure that team members are set up to succeed with technology on their first day (e.g., laptop provisioning, workstation set up)
-Resolve employee issues via phone call, instant message, and email
-Provisioning accounts for new users
-Monitoring and troubleshooting computer systems and networks
-Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, printers and scanners
-Repairing and replacing computer equipment as necessary
-Provides escalated support on and off hours as it relates to job responsibilities
-Provide support to existing team members to deliver a seamless, productive experience
-Occasionally provide remote support to end users who are working from home
-Racking and configuring IT equipment on-site
-Assisting with IT projects
-Provide laptop and desktop support for on and off-site users running Windows 10
-Provide exceptional customer service and support via phone, email and in person
-Resolve issues including but not limited to hardware failures, operating system errors, software compatibility issues, and network connectivity
-Identify and escalate complex problem reports or service requests to next tier of support as appropriate
-Work with other team members to ensure the timely completion of complex issues

 

What you'll need to have:

-Bachelor's Degree with 0-3 years’ experience in IT
-Must be available to work on-site
-Experience working in Windows and Mac environments
-Ability to work on new and interesting issues while maintaining daily operations
-Able to research issues independently
-Communicate technical issues comprehensively to a non-technical crowd
-Impeccable attention to detail
-Excellent written and verbal communication
-Excellent people and project management skills
-Scrappiness and resourcefulness; Not afraid to get your hands dirty and tackle problems
-Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as needed
-General experience in end-user support and maintenance of PC hardware and software in a Windows environment
-Basic understanding of network configurations, IP addressing, networking concepts
-Must be organized, have attention to detail, and be able to prioritize and multitask effectively
-Ability to work with end users with varying levels of technical experience.
-Excellent decision making and problem-solving skills
