Did you know our story started with a pumpkin?

In the fall of 1991, after a wet growing season, DeWayne Lee started a roadside produce stand with pumpkins (on consignment) to recover from his failed pumpkin crop.

In celebration of our 29th year in business, we have kicked off our Pumpkins with a Purpose fundraiser!

Time to plant cool weather crops.

Cool weather herbs & veggies are now in stock and ready to be planted! 

In NC cool weather vegetables thrive in the cooler temps and should be grown to maturity during
cool temperatures to yield the best crop. For our area that would be early spring and late summer / early fall.
Many cool weather favorites have edible foliage, roots or edible immature blooms. 
If the temperatures are unseasonably warm it can cause the
